Leonie Smith is an Australian jazz Vocalist, with a smooth sophisticated style. After completing Sydney's Ensemble Studio's three-year acting course, It was not long before she was regularly singing regularly at the Rocks Markets on Sydney Harbour, the Basement and Soup Plus Sydney's top Jazz venues, with musicians such as Peter Zog, Bobby Gebbert, John Morrison and many other top Aussie Musos.In 1994 Leonie joined the Andrew Sisters Sisters -The group won a Mo award in her first year and were nominated again in the second. Her debut Album "Sweet Jazz". was Produced by John Morrison and Kerrie Biddell Australia's Doyene jazz vocalist. Mixed and Mastered by Richard Lush and John Morrison. She has worked along-side Australian jazz greats such as Bobby Gebbert, Michael Barlomei, John Morrison, & George golla. After joining the Mo Award wining Andrew Sisters Sisters, she took 6 years off to raise her young family, and has now released her debut album "Sweet Jazz".
